- Epidemiological studies on obesity among different age and sex groups
- Intervention studies to curtail and prevent obesity, with an emphasis on children and adolescents.
- Cross-sectional, cohort and case-control studies to evaluate the complications of overweight and obesity in these individuals.

- Participating in holding national obesity conferences biannually
