1. Local pressure
2. Thyroid masses
3. Hyperthyroidism

General complications

21. Systemic: -Not common-

pulmonary emboli, myocardial infarction,deep vein thrombosis,atelectasis, Local infection(stitch abscess)

Thyroid storm

1.Hyperthyroidism with fever

2.stimulates or depress the CNS

3.Cardiovascular system

4.Liver failure

21. Antithyroid drugs withdrawal
21. Infections
21. Trauma
21. Thyroid surgery

21. Amiodarone(rarely)
